Maurice Mason

Maurice attained his City and Guilds certification in Micro Computer Technology in 2007 through the Samuel Jackman Prescod Polytechnic. He went on to gain a BSc in Computer Science in 2014 from the University of the West Indies. Currently employed with Solution Technology as a Software Developer, Maurice readily embraces and supports ICT concepts for efficiency and effectiveness.

During his years at Coleridge and Parry Secondary School, Maurice served as Treasurer of their 4H Club. As part of his Secondary School Job Attachment Program he worked as an Assistant in the Environmental Engineering Division in 2004 and at National Assistance Board in 2005. His job attachment through the Polytechnic included installing and servicing security systems at G4S Security Services Barbados. An industrious young man, Maurice spent his vacations from 2005 – 2010 gaining further valuable work experience at Cave Shepherd & Co Ltd in retail sales. From 2011 -2014 Mr. Mason worked at UWI’s Cave Hill Campus Bookshop. These opportunities afforded him valuable work experience across diverse areas and help broadened his perspective.

An active member of his community, Maurice has been an Altar Server at St. Aidan’s Anglican Church from 2004 and willingly assists in other areas whenever and wherever he can. In 2012 he was elected to the City of Bridgetown Co-operative Credit Union’s Credit Committee. Maurice served as Chairman for the period 2016 – 2018 and 2020 -2021.
